Custom Error Pages
Understand what a Custom Error Page is, what function does it serve and how to set up one.
Each time a page on your site doesn't load, an error message will be displayed to the visitor. Because there are different errors, there are different pages that will display, but what's standard for all of them is that they are generic and almost certainly will have practically nothing in common with the design of your site, which may be aggravating for any website visitor. That is the reason why hosting providers have introduced a function known as Custom Error Pages. For a range of different errors, visitors will see your custom made content, which could be informative or amusing, in accordance with your preference, and which will match the design and style of your Internet site, so the pages shall not appear as if they're not part of your website at all. You could use this option for numerous errors - 400 (Bad request), 401 (Unauthorized), 403 (Forbidden) and 404 (File not Found).

Custom Error Pages in Web Hosting
You'll be able to set up custom made error pages for each of your domains or subdomains. The function is supported by all
web hosting package that we offer, so once you log in to your Hepsia Control Panel and visit the Hosted Domains section, you may click on the Edit button for a domain/subdomain and in the pop-up that will be displayed, you can choose the sort of error page that should appear - a default one from our system, a conventional Apache server page or a personalized one. For the aforementioned option, you have to specify the URL to the page, so if you use customized pages, you must upload the files in your website hosting account first. One other way is to use an .htaccess file positioned in the domain or subdomain folder with a line for each error type. The correct syntax can be seen in our Knowledge Base, to help you use this function even if you do not have any previous experience.
