An access log is a detailed list of all the files which were accessed by the visitors of a certain website. Every single file that was requested for some reason will be listed, so if you have only one webpage with three embedded images, one video and one embedded text file, for instance, the access log shall contain a total of 6 entries - one for any of the six files which were accessed when the website visitor opened the webpage. A log usually contains the file name and path, the date, plus the visitor’s Operating System, browser and IP address. Sometimes you could also find the referrer websites that sent the visitors to your website. The data that an access log file includes is in human-readable plain text format. It can also be processed by special software on a desktop machine and used to write reports on the overall performance of a website, aside from the web stats that your hosting server may have produced.

To stop this function, you'll have to follow the very same steps and click on the Off button. The domains and subdomains can be managed separately and anytime. You can find a download link within the Logs section of the Control Panel for every log created by our system, so you can save the file to your desktop or notebook and view it or use it through some log processing software.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Our sophisticated web hosting platform will generate access logs for every single site hosted inside a
semi-dedicated server account, assuming that this feature is permitted. All domain names and subdomains that you have shall be listed within the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia CP, that we offer with all of the accounts, so if you need our system to start producing logs for any of them, you should simply click on the little button on the right side of the respective domain/subdomain and change the default Off option to On. You can disable this feature whenever you want by following the same steps. You can find a Download link for each log in the exact same section of the Control Panel, so you may save the content generated by our system in .txt format with only a click. An existing log file can be downloaded even after the option has been disabled, so you will still be able to look at the data that's already been generated.
