Dot NET Domains

When the Dot NET universal domain name extension was initially established in 1985, together with the first domains on the World Wide Web, it was meant to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure companies. Given that there were no special terms about the usage of the TLD, though, .NET domains were reserved and used for diverse purposes and by loads of people. This extension represents a wonderful substitution for dot COM, especially if the desired domain with the latter TLD is not free for registration.

You can easily change the WHOIS details of the domain through your Control Panel, or, if you don't wish this information to be public at all, you can buy a Whois Privacy Protection service, so nobody will be able to get your true contact information.

The .NET extension supports internationalized names, so you can pick whether you want to concentrate on a specific country or territory using a domain name in the native language, or the global Internet community – using a generic English name.
